Hi badgolferman,
Thanks for your insight because I know you own an iPhone 12 (not the mini
though) & I know you're not here to unreasonably defend Apple to the death.
Again, I'll speak to you like an adult so there is nuance in what I say as
I'm not dumbing' down the message just so that an apologist can understand.
I own Apple products for two reasons which are (a) I want to know what is
bullshit and what is fact when I read about Apple products on the net, and
(b) I buy phones all the time for my family, some of which are teen girls
who _love_ the iPhone like you can't believe someone could love a piece of
expensive plastic & glass - even to the point of loving Apple Care!
I have many iPads, some of which are used solely for the grandkids to play
with but others are used by my wife to watch Netflix on, while others are
for me to play with (I used to love the battery life and large screen).
Lately, with the battery life on my last two Androids being phenomenal, the
iPad no longer serves that purpose, and the screens on the last three
Android phablets I've owned are "big enough" for almost everything nowadays.
So the iPad is relegated, mostly, to testing out Jolly Rogers bullshit,
nospam's bullshit, Lewis' bullshit, et. al, where they _always_ bullshit.
Keep in mind the entire reason I'm on this newsgroup is the same people
sadistically and purposefully led me astray by sending the innocent me on
doomed to fail wild goose chases when I first asked (years ago) how to do
even the _simplest_ things on iOS (which, for iOS, is often impossible).
None of the apologists deserve any respect.
All of them are despicable people. Sadistic even. Liars all. Cowards too.
They respond to facts with child-like insults. They're not adults.
They're not even normal people these strange apologists, badgolferman.
No apologist deserves an iota of respect from intelligent adults.
They're ignorant. And they will remain forever ignorant.
That means they're stupid (because ignorance can be cured but not a low IQ).
Think of Alan Baker, and you can realize what I mean by apologists' low IQ.
I've never personally met people as ill informed as these apologists are.
At the moment, I remain here to inform the rather few adults on this
newsgroup (none of whom are rocket scientists either, by the way - save for
David Empson who hasn't posted in years AFAIK) of the facts as reliably
reported.
You are always free to disagree with my assessments of facts, but you have
to agree with the fact that I present the facts - and those facts are never
wrong (because I don't post them unless they're already reliably reported).
If I make a mistake I openly admit it and you know this to be true.
Have you ever seen an apologist admit his mistake. (I know of your thread.)
If anything, they dumb down to childish retorts such as nospam's "ftfy"
idiocy whenever he has no recourse to deny what is well known to be fact.
The fact remains that it's reliably reported the entire iPhone lineup has
cheap expensive batteries - and - in particular - the iPhone 12 mini has
dismal battery life (under controlled test circumstances).
That's just a fact we have to live with.
Note that I can back up _every_ claim I make but since you're not an
apologists, you can ask if there's ever a claim you don't know that I have a
cite for (the apologists never read them because they don't want to know).

Nobody has ever reproduced Apple's battery life claims in independent tests.
